第六十三回式年遷宮に向けて各町で結成された奉曳団によるお木曳きが先週末からスタートいたしました⛩️
20年に一度、550年以上続く伝統行事であり、我々伊勢市民にとっては大切な民俗行事でもあります。
と言っても自分は前々回の1986年に生まれ、前回の2006年は20歳で県外に住んでて見れず。
40歳で3回目にしてようやく見ることができました！
次の還暦には生きているのか？と思うと、とても貴重な行事であることがわかります。

The Okihiki procession, carried out by the Hiki-dan groups formed in each town for the 63rd Shikinen Sengu, began last weekend ⛩️
Held once every 20 years, Okihiki is a traditional event with more than 550 years of history, and for the people of Ise, it is also a very important folk tradition.
I was born in 1986 during the previous-but-one Sengu, and during the last one in 2006 I was 20 years old and living outside the prefecture, so I never had the chance to see it.
Now, at 40 years old, I was finally able to witness it for the first time on this third occasion in my lifetime.
When I think about whether I’ll even be alive for the next one at age 60, it really makes me realize how precious and rare this tradition is.
These special events will continue almost every weekend through the summer, so if you happen to visit Ise, I’d be very happy if you take the chance to go and see them for yourself.
